In my family we have always prepared Easter eggs like this, with onion peel and decorations with leaves and flowers. The color always depends on the quantity of peels, the more they are the more intense the color becomes.
PREPARATION TIME 40 MIN
INGREDIENTS AND TOOLS - 4 eggs - peels of about 6 onions - a transparent sock that you no longer use, clean - a pot - small flowers or any type of seedlings (to be washed and dried before proceeding) - a little oil (my grandmother used pork fat) - cotton thread
HOW TO PREPARE - add the onion peels and water to a large pan, leave to boil for about 20 minutes (until you see that the water turns coloured) - take the transparent sock and lay it out to put the egg and little flowers to decorate, close and tighten tightly around the egg, tying it with a cotton thread. - immerse the sock with the decorated eggs into the pot. - lower the heat and leave them inside for approximately 10 minutes. - after 10 minutes they are taken out one by one (the plants stick to the egg once cooled) in this way the sock is cut and the egg is pampered with a little fat or whatever oil you have in the kitchen.
